My horse has conjunctivitis. I've cleaned his eyes and put a hood on him.
I'm the first to shout call a vet with eyes having fought uveitis for years. However this is both eyes are sticky there is absolutely no weeping (watery as in pain response) they are wide open even in bright sunlight and totally no swelling.
I'm 100% certain of what it is. Several horses at my work have had it recently and tbh chances are I've transferred it to him. The horses at work all recovered quickly with no veterinary treatment.
What would you do? Vet or give it a day or so?
