Horse Feathers

Maybe I'm being a bit slow here but.. doesn't the post lee1984 quoted from BillieBlitzen refer to Riley? :confused::confused::confused:

For me, it all started as a safety necessity with one cob to stop getting kicked in the head because she got so tickley with them, although you have to have a cob with good confo to get away with taking it all off. Can't abide to see bad legs clipped or scrawny necks hogged... Eurgh!
 
I wish I was a bit brighter and could keep up with why these trolling suggestions are surfacing :D But regardless, strikes me that if Riley is trolling, he could be doing a better job of it that posting some things that kinda relate to gypsy horses which generate some discussion due to difference of opinions. I dunno, but I thought that's what forums were for. A better troll really ought to be summoning a little more righteous indignation, no?

So perhaps those who are convinced that he's a troll should content themselves that he's a bit of a crap one and leave it at that.

How Do I Keep Feathers Clean seems like a naff topic for trolling, specially since other people with feathery horses might benefit from some of the replies - mine not being one, I'm afraid, since I'm in the Clipper Club too ;)

I didn't say he was a troll, I said it was a bit weired, could quite easily be one of the bitter ones with an alias trying to back up their claims, or RB or lee having a joke at the bitter ones expense because of all the mudslinging in their direction or a genuine poster or none of the above. I agree its a bit obv for a genuine troll, but then what is a genuine troll, the whole point is that in what ever guise they are not genuine, some trolls come on as an obvious send up to a situation does that make them less of a troll. Bottom line... In a sense we are all trolls, true, we may come on here and try to be as we would in RL but I'm reality, the computer changes us, it makes some of us more bold in our opinions, some of us less so, gives the lonely some friends, the bullies someone to bully, the caring someone to support and it gives everyone some form of escapism into a world that is very familiar and therefore non threatening, but at the same time fantastically anonymous. There, been thinking that for days and now I've said it:)

And you're right - these posts may still be send-ups, even if they're not intended to get really OTT responses - could just be getting a kick out of being taken seriously - but if that's the case, eh. No harm done and someone else might learn something ;)

Agree with the anonymity barrier (had to spell check that) online, totally. A blessing and a curse!

the only way threads get ott responses someones jumps on the troll bandwagon & it go's back the square one of there trolls again...:rolleyes:
 
Do u think Id make a user Athena ? Am not the brightest spark but that wld be stupid.

I think I know who it is n if I had read the user befor hand I wldnt of commented as it looks like they intended for this to happen extremely childish
 
Have to say it strikes me more that Athena might be a troll as its an obvious thread for rb and lee to jump on. Even if a regular user had posted that id imagine they'd respond first.

Equally they or anyone else here might be a troll. Who really cares :/

I promise I have better thongs to b doin than trolling ? Whoever did this is childish . Lee put a name forwards an I think i agree but nt gna name n shame thats sinkin to their level .
 
This forum is absolutely ridiculous! I come on here to talk about horses in a positive manner and learn some information, but yet every post is turned into a debate/ argument.

I'm sure I'm not the only user who is getting fed up of this.

Please knock it off, it's getting old and ruining the forum for the rest of us!

I don't see what people are getting hung up on? If posts annoy you....then surely just don't post?

ETA - Yes. I realise someone may quote and state I could sound like a hypocrite on that last sentence. But, I'm not annoyed in anyway over posts or posting, so therefore, shall post ;) My point is...I just don't get everyone getting hung up on it to the extent it is at the moment.

MilesJess and Christmas Sparkles - trust me I am doing my own head in at the moment but I promise I will let sleeping dogs lie. I just feel very strongly that a lot of what Rb has posted hasnt rung true and it seems like he is making a right mug of people, especially those who offered so much support over the LittleAthena 'death', I say 'death' because it all seems a bit strange. Filly, he rescues then it has to be PTS, Riley he has two pics of but then he seems to be sold....

Just a hunch. I really should use the Ui function but I am just too darn nosey for my own good.

Apologies if I have offended anyone, this is my first troll hunt and I wonder if I am unsure of the correct ettiquette :) sorry to be so hung up!

That said...I'm not known for my caring people skills, so don't really get worked up on stuff like that. I offered a helping PM on that post too, but either way, doesn't affect me in the slightest in reality. *Should* it turn out to be crap [which I don't see why tbh, as no gain out of it], then tough luck, there goes 2 minutes of my life gone writing a PM. Doesn't affect me in any other way.

Should people want to make up an alter ego account on here [and that's as a general, not aimed at the posters everyone is going on about currently], then no skin off my nose, as harsh as that might sound to some. In the bigger picture, it's only a forum...which is just why I don't really 'get it'. There's no 'welfare case' [or equally 'idiot' posting] which is a 'trolls' normal action plan.

Unless there's some dire bigger plan going on here, for I don't know, global take-over or aiding and abetting weapons of mass destruction...I've just failed to see the need to ponder over it excessively :p


I'm not taking sides, nor having a dig, as people can do what they want, it doesn't affect me....but I just don't 'get' it personally lol. Not even from a UI list point, that a lot of effort :p If I thought that, I'd just roll my eyes and scroll past that post, rather than every thread, have people jumping in and for all intent and purpose 'feeding' it to manifest into a troll fest, like it has done now. For example, whatever they post, it automatically gets jumped on, for posts no different to what any other user posts [cob help for example on this one, asking what do you think of a horse for sale for another example, a cob thread on another...]...when it's people jumping in calling troll troll etc, which is just keeping it going, more than the OP is fuelling it.

ETA - like I said, should it turn out to be crap, then by all means say told you so...I'm just not really bothered, either way, that's all. If it's true, then it's just another user exiled from HHO. Nothing new there.

I understand CS, sometimes an idea gets under your skin though :) and it all seems so obvious to me. You're right a lot of effort in return for nothing. I am pretty amazed at the way HHO seems to have lost it's balls over some of the things that Rb has posted tbh. Just smacks of double standards and I'm a stickler for fairness.

Over and out on the Rb TROLL hunt. I am going to have to call it a day :)
