My boy is awful for tripping up anyway. Has been for years. He's due to have his feet done Friday aswell. But I put him in his stable tonight and just as he went to eat his dinner the next thing I knew he had fallen on his knees! He just back up again and started eating his dinner like nothing had happened. Anybody had any experiences with tripping horses?

Mine slipped in his stable a couple of years ago - he was very shocked (as was I) and he felt a little sorry for himself for a few minutes afterwards. I have since got rubber matting in his stable as I think basically the concrete base was old and worn so had got slippery. As for tripping a lot, it can be due to various things - it can be indicative of navicular or it can be the horse is not walking properly (ie is a bit lazy essentially) and on the forehand. It could alsi be a shoeing issue. Basically there are many reasons for a horse to trip!

He was driven years ago and trips generally when not using us backend as drags himself along. But he's never tripped in stable before. He has rubber matting aswell. Was just strange. Will talk to farrier about it on Friday anyway

Probably just one of those things to be honest - he may have just caught a toe. My horse slipped on his front feet on the road the other day and fell to his knees catapulting my mum off the front. He's never done that before, he can slip behind but has not done it in front in all the years I've had him.
