Horse fighting - what is wrong with some people?

I only went on to the WSPA site as had been meaning to set up donation for ages and saw the link there... it never ceases to amaze me what people do for fun... poor, poor horses
 
OMG! My boy has bits all over him from some sort of fighting last night and that's horrid, but bating them against each other?! That is just horrific!
 
I'm lost for words. It truely shocks me when I see pictures like these whatever animal it may be and I cannot understand how people can stand around watching it. Some of those pictures brought tears to my eyes thinking how much pain the poor horses must be in. Sick people who support this type of "sport" should be made to endure it themselves and see how much they enjoy it then!
 
I don't want to look at the link, but if it's in Korea or that type of place in Asia , it's possible I have seen it before.

They actually have it on TV and company's around the area sponsors it... Bloody vile.

It's big business but how people can literally watch it for pleasure is beyound me.... The poor mare also get's kicked about and covered about 30 times that day. SICK
 
I found that very hard to read despite reading up on it some time ago, its very sad in indeed

, I'd certainly find it very hard to be a reporter and have to witness such an event, but without these people we all wouldn't get to know about it, you've certainly got a hand it to them in doing such a difficult task.
 
I don't agree with it, it isn't acceptable to me, but it is a different culture, animals will always be used for human gain somewhere or other.
Lump it together with cock fighting, bear fighting, bear dancing, dog fighting, camel fighting, there is no difference, and there are campaigns to stop it.
 
I do not buy the 'its a different culture' line. Cruelty is cruelty no matter what.

I can guess what the link is and I dont want to look at it, have seen photos before.

I applaud the people who expose this type of thing. It is not any different from bear baiting, dog fighting, bull fighting, cock fighting etc in my book.

It is sick.
