Horse Fights in China!!!

"dated 2007!!!" - Sorry never noticed just quickly read it during my lunch break - it had been sent to me TODAY to read and comment on! Strange. Here's hoping it is NOT still going on.

It still goes on. I watched a Sky News report on this last year. One of the most horrifying things, to me, was not only the fighting, but that the tethered mare would be kept in the arena, and covered by the winner after each bout, all day. The Chinese and Koreans truly disgust me. "Beware the yellow man."

Not so different to a world with badger baiting, hare coursing and dog fighting, both of which are still quite big in England.
Not just the "yellow man" who we need to beware.

My Mum's partner is Chinese!! You comment was extremely racist and it deeply offended me. If my Mum's partner were to read it, he would be incredibly insulted too. He LOVES animals. He has had all kinds of pets, and once, when a squirrel died in my Mum's garden, he buried it, and put a rose on top of the burial site.

A lot of Chinese are revolted by this and want the fighting stopped. Some welfare organization (I cannot remember which) has received thousands of letters from Chinese desperately wanting an end to this horrific spectacle. Not all of them relish the sight of two animals fighting to the death.

You only have to look much closer to home to see examples of extreme animal cruelty.

I do think that sometimes we look too far afield and we forget that we have plenty of problems closer to home.
Lets sort out the cruelty issues in this country first and then we can start to be the world police that some people want the UK to be.

While I agree it's totally barbaric, this country has a lot to answer for too. On top of the other 'sports' mentioned we have fox hunting. Any person getting pleasure out of maiming and killing animals disgust me.

And yes Skewby I would remove that comment if I were you and look closer to home!

Are you kidding me!!! Racist people disgust me!

Animal fights are horrible... and they are organised by people from every race, nation, creed, colour and religion. If someone is a cruel psycho that has NO relation to any of these factors!!!

Unfortunately, animal cruelty and animal fighting, takes place all over the world by every race.

With animal fighting, money is the main factor. It's the same with bear baiting, dog fighting etc etc.

The people need educating, but I do fear that with money being the main factor, it will take a very long time to end all this suffering.

LOL! What about the Japanese?

Still, not likely that such opinions would be logical.
