Off the top of my head: witch hazel gel and sudocrem, vetwrap, scissors, thermometer and vaseline, sterilised leg wraps, gamgee, a working torch/headlight, tick remover, tweezers, saline solution, diapers, and records of your horses' vitals and vet information.

All of the above plus some wound pads, tail bandage, a tube of sedalin, a couple of left over bute sachets and some antiseptic wipes for wiping the thermometer after use.

Good point, I've got some other bottles of stuff I don't know what they are but imagine a vet could tell me how to use them in an emergency.

Have to admit, I won one of those big horse first aid kit bags and just added a few things to it (the bute, sedalin, card with vet and farrier details)

Similar to the above posts + a bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide, a box of nitrile gloves, a tub of Epsom salts, a tub of udder cream and a roll of gaffer tape.

I’m a little bit obsessed with my animal first aid kit for some reason, it’s sort of like a weird hobby. ? We do also have chickens, ducks and cats though and some things are interchangeable.

In addition to the items already mentioned I have various extra bandages, gamgee, melolin pads and gauze. I’m just adding a low sided bucket, lint-free towel, stethoscope, notepad and pen (good for jotting down stats in emergencies) and vet/farrier details. Stable bandages, various Red Horse products (not sure if that counts as first aid but things like their field paste), germigel, electrolytes, ice pack, antibiotic ointment, vetericyn (both the spray and the eyewash), Filtabac, saline, latex type gloves, betadine, cling film. Other stuff I can’t remember!

Vetericyn and Filtabac are probably the two most useful products to be honest.

We also have an emergency kit

Wire cutters, hammer, crowbar, saw, nails, screwdriver. It's put in one place and left.

It has been used a few times for horses getting stuck under post and rail fences when rolling too close.

We have also taken it when a horse got into trouble on a hack and jumped a barbed wire fence we had to cut the fence to get her out luckily she was ok
