Just wanted to put up some praise for Horse First as we are all quick to condem when things go wrong, so it is nice to alert people when things go right!!!

At Windsor Europeans BBs and I both bought some products from Horse First after having a good chat with Paddy Hughes, the owner, who was very patient with us, explaining his products...a certain Mr Whitaker helped the sale along too

Having used many calmers I wasn't expecting miracles, but the RelaxMe is excellent - I was a little worried that it would remove sparkle, but it doesn't at all, it just allows for a calmer outlook on life. My farrier is absolutely gobsmacked with the improvement in Ted's feet since he was put on the Hoof First too, so all good. I am also using the My Joints, but obv it is hard to say whether this is working or not as I use joint supplements as a preventative!

Anyway, getting to the point! I emailed less than an hour ago asking how I could replenish my stock as no one around here has any

Paddy himself called me straight back and some will be going in the post tomorrow for 24 hour delivery

This service is open to everyone, they want to be known for getting their goods out to their clients ASAP.

I was incredibly taken aback by the quick response time as I reckoned on an email tomorrow in working hours, so WELL DONE HORSE FIRST, I absolutely endorse your products and your customer service

www.horsefirst.net - in case you have never heard of them, my local feed merchants haven't!

Would be interested in the hoof supplement. Currently using Biometh Z through my vet. What sort of prices are we talking? Doesn't give a price list on the website.

I buy the biggest size tubs and I paid £40 per tub at Windsor as I bought 3 tubs of stuff, I think, if I remember correctly, that they are usually £45 per tub - call and ask though as I am not 100% sure - really recommend it though! I just want to get their name out there a bit as they really are so nice and the products are IMHO, good!

I tried to get Hoof First (after years on Biometh Z) but local supplier hadn't heard of them. Definitely might try and get them to post now!

Just had a look on their website. Am interested in the New Bludd or the Back to Form supplements as our horse seems a bit lethargic at the moment- nothing you can put your finger on - but I was just thinking he may need a tonic of some description. Has anyone used either of the products i have mentioned?

Echo what you say Weezy.

The hoof supplement has been amazing on Winston's feet, my farrier cant believe the difference.
Again difficult to tell on the joint supplement as for one horse its a preventative, but on Winston he feels amazing...

Paddy is so pleasant and very helpful. So I too think theyre brilliant.

yes the calmer is competition legal i first started using it last year after the british SJ Team Vet recommended it - very amazing stuff and have been trying to get my local feed barn to stock it !!

Patchetts sell it if anyone is going competing there xx

yes i cannot speak highly enough about <font color="red"> </font> products and I know they now have a distributer in Belgium so if you contact them at info@horsefirst.net they will give you the details. It is too good to miss out on.

another agree! work on a yard in Notts that stocks it and uses a fair few of the products. our highly strung horse who would spook at the same damn chair every time past now completely ignores it....and doesn't mind if the wind blows a bit either! ace stuff. and comp legal, used on BD horses

Always good to have personal feedback!

When you next speak to the Weezy, maybe mention that the more cynical people in this world (ie me!) would be far more inclined to buy if they listed the product ingrediants, quantities of ingrediants, feeding rate and rrp

Ditto the Hoof First; had amazing results in a very short space of time. No one would believe it was only down to the supplement yet it was the only thing that had changed. Will def be trying their calmer!

Oh sounds like great customer service Weezy never heard of them but am checking out the website now.

If we are talking great customer service can I tag one on here too?...

SpottedCat recommended Irideon breeches for thermal waterproof winter breeches found a UK store that sold them but only in knee patch emailed to see if they did full seat, and they got in contact with the UK distributor and tracked down 2 pairs one for me one for Kerilli and best of all the lady phoned to say because of the naff postal strikes she was sending them special delivery at her expense.

So massive thank you to KHAZAN EQUESTRIAN schooled in them last night and they are mega

Isn't it just great when you get fab cutomer service more companies should realise the power of this and the good word of mouth eg BT and 3 have had shocking/nonexistent customer service from them recently! gggrrrrr

I have just ordered some Back to Form!!! Hope it doesn't turn my horse into a looney. They will be wondering why they are getting so many enquiries this morning.

I just sent off a email request for info on my nearest stockist and had a phone call five minutes later

Luckily one not far from me so may well try the hoof supplement, if it can help Loki's horrible feet where others have failed it really will be a miracle worker!

Agree - I will not touch a joint suppliment unless I know the ingrediants as so many are rubbish and do not have proven ingrediants in the right quantitys.

I'm sure if you contact Robert, Paddy's partner in the business, he will give you the ingredients, quantities etc. They are very keen on keeping their customers right. They are only a small company so all are very hands on, even the family!!
It is now sold all over the world, Paddy has been working very hard to promote the products, but in the end they are only as good as the satisfied customers aren't they?

Call me a giant sceptic, but to impact the keratin of the hooves a supplement would have to be feed for nearly a year.

I have a major issue with being flogged tubs of unknown substances for my horse, its bad enough spending a fortune on products where you have the list of ingredients and a general gist of what it should do for your horse

On the website Horse First put the following:
[ QUOTE ]
Paddy's aim from the start was to use only the highest quality ingredients available and to offer the horse owner a range of products with the highest levels of active-ingredient inclusion of any supplements on the market.

[/ QUOTE ]

If this is true why not list them on the box, otherwise this is hot air and smoke and mirrors! How on earth can they claim the highest level of active ingredients of any supplement if they sell you a box with a name on it and no promises of what's inside!!
