Horse flinging his head

My horse has recently started shaking & flinging his head around whilst in the school. He never does this hacking which he prefers.
Medically nothing wrong with him, saddle is fine etc. Any advice would be appreciated ?
 
Are you asking your horse to take up a contact in the school whereas you ride with a longer rein when hacking? If so and he is fighting it I would echo PAS and query whether his teeth need attention.

I have check the bit but will check again. Saddle maybe 3-4 months ago & teeth are due Feb they were last done by the vet

Oh no ? This is a massive worry of mine! Perhaps I’ll see how he goes after having his teeth checked.

Yes that’s makes sense. I’ll definitely be getting his teeth checked ASAP.
 
My mare did this and it was tooth related. I personally prefer to get my mare’s teeth done by an EDT than a vet but that has just been my personal experience and appreciate others will have the opposite view!

Also check things like poll pressure. I’m assuming you’re UK so unlikely but my mare is also sensitive to pollen and will toss her head more in grass pollen season.

He is very sensitive to pollen and wears a net all the time although probably not necessary this time of year I like the keep it on. Hopefully it will just be his teeth
