Hi Forum,
I have a lovely 14.2hh black Irish 12 year gelding for loan. He is incredibly gentle and would suit a small adult, young child, mother/daughter share. He came to us three years ago as a BSJA pony and was transformed into a lovely dressage pony, winning the Trailblazers Elementary National Title in August.
Unfortunately he has recently developed ringbone in his hind leg. We only found out he had this condition due to another problem and the vet suggest we x-ray the leg. This other problem has now resolved itself. Due to the fact he such a lovely little man and has taught me so much we do not want to sell him. He has been completely sound with this condition for approx 6 months, but we feel it is unfair to carry on this amount of work in light of his condition. He will be able to be hacked and LIGHTLY worked (turnout on deep would not be suitable).
He is wonderful out on hacks and takes it all in his stride. He is lovely in all ways, good to shoe, turnout (with other geldings), load, clip etc. We are looking for someone to love and pamper this wonderful horse nearby (Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Chelford, Handforth, Cheadle Hulme, Bramhall area). We are willing to pay all vets fees in relation to this condition, and share any other vets bills and shoeing costs. But we are looking for someone who would be able to meet all livery costs (all rugs, saddle and a few bridles would come with him).
If anyone can help us out with this lovely little man please can you get in touch either on here or email clare_heap@msn.com.
