Horse for sale - old stables want him back.

So decided, as you know, to sell my horse. I put an ad for him up today and just got a call now saying:

"Hello, we have seen your horse for sale. We know him, he was stabled here by his last owners before being sent to a dealer and you buying him. We were devasted when he was sold and would love to have him back". etc. etc.

Am going to meet with them this week, to see what they have in mind for him. Also not entirely clear if they are expecting a swap or to pay for him. Anyway, going to talk with them and see what can be done. Would be nice if he could end up where he was before as I know another girl who rode him at these stables and she misses him like crazy. Am hoping this is fate stepping in to take away my guilt. Will update you once I have been to see them!

What a lucky coincidence! If these people still remember him and still feel sorry they missed out on buying him the first time, it could be the perfect home! Hope it works out!

Sounds like good news! Why would they expect a swap? I haven't seen your earlier posts as to why you are selling him but they have seen your 'For Sale' advert!

last year i had a horse for sale and had a load of time wasters so took advert of as was sick of messers. but a week later there was an advert asking if the horse was still available, which i thought was class, someone had to pay for an ad asking in ad if my horse was still available,it said if the lady with the coloured gelding ect ect describing my horse is still available please contact me. so i did and he was sold within 2 days. so pretty cool.

Since the owner before you took money for him from a dealer and since you had to buy him, they will have to pay you to buy him back! But it sounds like a nice outcome if it all comes right!

I hope it means it was meant to be. He was a competition horse on livery at these stables. He was then passed onto a dealer and the stables where he had been were gutted. So they called me today asking if it was him (they asked by his full name, which I had not put on the advert). They said they would love to have him back etc. Just not sure if they were implying a swap or buying. Anyway heading over there (about an hour away so not bad) on Thursday. Would like to check it all out!! Fingers crossed its goes well!!!
