17.2hh, 10yo, bright bay ISH gelding. Due to previous sharer having new work commitments and no longer having the time, I am looking for a someone to have him 2/3 days per week to include Sundays.
He is a forward going and responsive ride. He will try his best at whatever you ask but he is a little unbalanced at the moment as unfit. Due to various reasons (busy work & home life) I am only just now bringing him back into full time work but he is getting fitter.
He is good to school and is learning, so I need an experienced, knowledgeable & understanding rider to help me continue his education. He can be very sensitive and can rush when unsure so need someone with experience riding sharp, sensitive horses who is calm and confident in the saddle. He is good to hack but can be lively nothing nasty and has never taken off but can be sharp and excitable. Despite these quirks, he is a snaffle-mouth at all times.
We have just started jumping and he is keen but doesnt rush or get silly. Took him schooling to Felbridge the other week and he was good as gold.
He is fine to handle but worries and sometimes has a mini-meltdown over silly things (like raincoats), so again needs someone calm but who knows when to be firm but fair. Can be a bit grumpy sometimes, but never bites or kicks - not a cuddly horse but does enjoy some attention. Loves to be groomed. He has good manners & is never bargy. Leads to/from field on a slack rope.
I am looking for someone who is sensible, reliable, interested in in doing a bit of everything. The yard has good facilities including 2x sand/rubber schools, lunge pen and plenty of off-road hacking.
He loads & travels well so opportunity to compete and take to clinics etc. Stabled on DIY livery in Bromley so some stable duties. Financial contribution required, but this is negotiable for the right person.
He really is a wonderful horse with so much personality that could take the right person far. Please contact me via PM if interested.
