Horse friendly beaches?

Me and a friend had planned to do a sponsered ride this weekend but its been postponed, since we've already arranged box hire we thought we could go to a beach instead.

Any suggestions for a good beach within a sensible distance of Herts?

Hi, shoesburyness is lovely, i went there last year. It took us about 30mins to ride out to the water then we did a loop. Check the tide times, we had a great time. Parking is a bit tricky because the main car park has a height restriction so u wont get a box in there but there is a little car park espeically for horseboxes.

ooo and were just within the date to ride anytime of day. Is it a busy beach? not sure how they'll be (never been on the beach before) and i dont want to have to doge to many tourists!!
