Horse friendly cake recipes?

I'm sure this has been done before but I cannot find anything on the search.

I want to make my pony a little treat for the weekend as I've had him a year and he has come on so much in that time, he is just a star.

Any ideas on something tasty for the neddies? He is barefoot so no molasses if possible.

I made a carrot cake for my daughter's horse when he was 18 - that way we could all have a piece!

I didn't put the sugary icing on his portion though, just the human half! Lots of recipes if you google it, all pretty similar, leave out anything you don't think he will like. Can't remember if it usually has nuts in it, but I didn't put any in.
