I’ve got one of those gas shower thingies for washing horses on yard with no hot water. What trolleys do you use for them? And also, the shower attachment is not very long - any tips for a more horse-friendly one?
Many thanks.

Ive just set mine up this morning. It was on a regular sack trolley type thing. Literally cable tied on. We have wall mounted it but a sack trolley and cable ties did the perfect job. The gas bottle sits nicely secured to the base.
I’ve replaced the shower hose with my regular hose pipe and gun end.

I had an Eccotemp and bought the expensive made-for-it trolley, which turned out to be a complete waste of money as it didn't fit very well at all.
A sack trolley would probably have been just as good.
I took the shower head thing off too and replaced it with a curly garden hose; both the inflow and outflow pipes worked with standard hosepipes/connectors

Sack trolley then.
In terms of the shower head bit, if you change that for a hose with gun head thingy, what happens when you turn the water on? Does it still work? Or do you need to let the water flow out of the end of the hose for the heater click into action?

Yes, the shower (I'm assuming an Ecotemp) won't run without water flowing right through the system. I have a longer hose and a gun type attachment with a lockable trigger, so you can lock it open. Also make sure you don't use auto-stop hose fittings unless you have a reason to. I'd really recommend brass fittings for all the hoses as they maintain/withstand the pressure so much better over time.
Mine is on a standard sack truck - it has a simple hanging bracket wielded to it and a circular fitting to, to hold the gas bottle securely. Very easy for someone who can wield. The shower is really sensitive to a breeze, so make sure the wind guard is fitted (at the bottom), I also have plexiglass (I had some anyhow) cable tied to the sack truck behind the unit and have a sort of cowl around to top (very hot so nothing flammable), otherwise on breezy days it blows out every 3 freaking minutes ;)
Also worth having a way to know how much gas is in the bottle (the shower will start cutting out well before it runs out due to the flow), and spare batteries.

Basically, I've never had a more challenging to run piece of kit!!! I'm a qualified engineer and sometimes I honestly despair, but when its working its so amazingly useful I persevere.
