Well my horse has had this blueberry size lump on his flank, and I thought it was a a reaction to a fly bite, so I have been putting fly bite relief and anitceptic fly repellent on bla bla bla. But today my YO comes over and starts squeezing it and this big yellow splat comes out :O, along with a yummy pop sound :P. I was so jealous because one of my fave past times is squeezing spots :D. It didnt smell and nothing but blood came out afterwards so dont think its an abcess, lump is half the size now, I will just have to keep an eye on it.

Does anyone else share my love for squeezing things?

My mare had something similar last year but in the "explosion" came out a blackberry thorn, don't fear cause I had to squeeze hers for a few days to clear it of the pus so you may get some yet :D

It sounds very much like a warble fly larvae

not really something to joke about...i hope you managed to get everything out.
and then flushed with hibiscrub?

Mmm nice lol. I didn't think horses could get zits. Learn something new everyday!

Well, I called it a zit, because it popped and splatted :D YO said it had a head, I didnt see it :)

I hope not :O. I did hibi scrub it, and lathered it in savlon cream. Well he squeezed it to the point where it was just blood and nothing else.

There is nothing better than a good zit.

I am so jealous! I would've fought you for that one!

Haahaha, I was actually saddened by the fact it wasnt me squeezing it, I also love pinning my little brother down, because he gets loads, love it when it makes a pop sound :P yummy

Ohhh Frances - the joys of a dog with a sebaceous cysts - very very jealous:D

Nearly as good as a cat with an abcess.... (drifts off to check all available animals and hubby for plooks;))

I had a loan pony that used to get zits...made for fabulous squeezing. My skin crawls just thinking about it! :D

I want that pony! He would be getting alot of attention from me!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who likes squeezing spots - seriously, there's something just so satisfying about it! :p xx

SO true!! Its even more exciting if they make pop noises, I had one that went squeek one time, best one I ever had

jealous!
best one i did was lancing a football size abscess on a horse - alas it splattered all over me and i could not get the stink off for days!!! horse recovered well though ;):D

AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I feel like my eyeballs have been raped! Was NOT prepared for such foulness before I've even had my first cup of tea of the day

One word for that M I N G I N G .. feel quite sick now :(

My mare had a sebaceous (sp) cyst inside her hind leg. I hadn't known that's what it was until I showed the vet and he squeezed loads of gunk out. He then said I would have to do it if it came back...It returned 6 months later, so I geared myself up to squeeze it, and when the gunk shot out and covered my hand I admit I gagged.... not nice, shame I don't have one of you gory lot near me to take "pleasure" (EW!) from it :p
