Hi I've got a friend she's had her horse for about 3 years now soon after she bought him he started with thrush and she thinks the owner covered it up to sell him. She is by no means a novice owner and has tried every treatment to get rid of the thrush. She's had the farrier and the vet out numerous times and they don't think it's thrush anymore but are still saying it is because they don't know what else it could be. It smells and looks like thrush (his feet go black in the grooves next to the frog I've forgotten it's name sorry). His feet are throughly cleaned and treated everyday. Any ideas about what it could be or what it is? Thanks

I've ordered but not yet tried the red horse field paste.

They do other good products too.
I use hibi scrub mixed with water in a spray bottle, nearly everyday after picking out. I've also used tea tree oil in the solution sometimes too.

Could it the management of the horse?
Good diet?
Clean stable/bedding?
Mud?

It's diet is well balanced and it's stable is cleaned 3-4 times a day. Usually it's out in the field in the summer when it's dry. The owner has used hibi scrub, cattle wash or something I can't remember and a lot of other products but none of them help. The management of his feet is beyond perfect they're cleaned out and treated 2-3 times a day. Tell me how that product goes please. Does the tea tree oil give a noticeable benefit? Thank you for replying

Try NT dry powder, my horse has had thrush for 3 years, ive tried every lotion, poition and gimmick on the market. I saw another thread on here and mentioned this powder and wow it has cleared it up and it's been amazing to watch from day one. I can't recommend it enough.

I am having good results with Pete's Goo. I have been treating my horse for about 10 days. Her worst foot the frog was a mess but already there is a big improvement. I treat twice a day, then stuff the sulci with cotton wool to stop them becoming impacted with dirt or manure. Have you tried that?

After months of trying lots of different products Red Horse hoof wash (spray) and NT dry powder cleared up my mare's thrush in days!

I have used purple spray with great success on my own horse. I also knew someone who used to spray her horses feet once a week with a bleach and water solution, never tried it myself however her horse never did have any problems with thrush in the wet weather, you just have to monitor it making sure the hoof doesn't become too dry.
