I was out riding my mare on friday evening and once back cooler rug on, fed watered and put to sleep for the night I woke up in morning to find a pile of hair lying on the ground outside her stable door and a big bald patch on the side of her neck!! she didnt seem to bothered by it and I really dont know why she has done it but iv been cleaning it daily with warm water to keep infection away and putting a thick layer of animal healing cream on it twice a day. She is pretty happy to let me do this so I dont think its causeing her much pain and I have ruled out ringworm as its not really circular more square and its like a blister rub not a rash. Just wondered if I am treating it correctly or does anyone recomend any other method of treating it. If anyone can think of any reason why she did it as well would be greatly appreciated. She hasnt done anything like this before and has no other rubbed off patches anywhere. Thank you
