My 19 year old mare is turned out from 6.30am until about 5pm. During the day I bring her in for schooling and then turn her back out. Over the past week she has had very swollen back legs when it's bringing in time. She's not lame and there's no heat. She does have bone spavin and wears extension shoes on her hinds. What could be causing this swelling?
