Its very big so we need to make sure he doesnt knock it again. He is currently in a pair of woof wear ones from my sisters TB who we lost.

He is out at night and in during the day but still his legs are clammy when i take them off.

Can anyone recommend any with decent air flow?

From a search on here i can have a look at the Lemieux mesh ones or the Uhlan ones (like these as they come in purple 😁)

Can anyone recommend any others? I think the tri zone will rub as he xan be sensitive.

Have never had to boot him for anything other than travelling 🤦‍♀️ got to 15 be for things started cropping up 🙃

Thanks all.

Instead of using a full boot could you use some cotton wool with vet wrap and just cover the splint?

That might be an idea.

The vet wanted a full protection of the cannon bone as it is quite big, the length of my little finger and protruding by quite a lot. You can see it through the woof wear boot.

Equilibrium Tri-Zone Boots are the most breathable ones I have ever used. However if it is that big and not yet cold, I wouldn't be turning out.

Its cold, he is sound. He is just over heating in the brushing boots and getting hot legs. I dont want skin or tendon problems because he is spending the night in brushing boots.

I worry the tri zone will rub being on that long

What about the exercise wraps and you could just attach some padding to the inside of the wrap where the splint is, I really worry using boots for turnout especially in the summer in this heat.

What about Husk boots? I have a pair of their old fetlock boots and without fail his legs are always cool under them. I'm not a massive advocate of husk as don't feel the boots wore as well as other brands and the fit wasn't as good but I think they are meant to have improved both of these things in their new designs and they are genuinely the most breathable boots I've ever used. Although they are hideously expensive I think if I had to have boots on in this heat for turnout then I would use theirs and accept the cost as worth it to avoid potential damage to legs:
