I very rarely see my horse getting up but yesterday I noticed that just after, he couldn't move his backend and was swaying, then when he moved on after about 10 secs he was very stiff which lasted for 5 strides. He used to be an affilliated sj in a former life (bout 5 years ago) and is now 16. He's used for hacking now but we have a lot of hills around us, some of which are pretty steep. His poll, neck, back and pelvis, which was rotated, were treated with Bowen 5 weeks ago.
He's just been tested for Cushings and IR (borderline IR) as I cant shift the fat pads and has recently developed large hard fat pads in his quarters and shoulders. When I took him on he had LGL and was obese but is now managed with high fibre diet and off grass during the day with soaked hay and supps:
Would be really appreciative of any thoughts on this, but will be having a chat with Vet on Monday.
Have put this on here as more people view. Will be back later to pick up any replies.
Many, many thanks in advance!

Oh, and custard creams for reading!!

Really dont want to come across rude here - but what is your question...??

You have a stiff horse! - He is an old show jumper with twists, and aches...
After falling off on Thursday night I can sympathise, you should see me stagger out of bed in the morning!!!
