Horse Head sizes

I have been told that my two year old Thoroughbred gelding has a small head. He is three in may and I was wondering if it will grow any more. It looks in porportion to me so I am not too worried, but I am keen to show him in hand this summer and I wondered if that would go against him. What do you think?

if it looks in porportion then i wouldnt worry. It may grow a bit more as i will expect he has a bit more growing to do

My TB has a small head too, he fits most cob things and full is too big
hes 15.3ish but his head doesnt look small on him

Lots of TBs have little heads. PF is also cob size but looks very much in proportion (to me at least!) I don't think it'll go against you at all.

A small head won't matter for showing, a big head is sometimes undesirable (in hacks and show ponies for example), but as the old saying goes, 'you don't ride the head'.

thanks for your advice, very reassuring indeed! It does look in porportion and he is so sweet and easy to handle, he loads a treat too, so cannot complain at all. Cheers
