Horse hoarder horses for rehoming....

We'd be there like a shot if we had a spare stable. But I do have the shelters.. hm hmm hmmm :( If only it was summer, much easier to rehome in summer!

are any of his horses actually on those two pages?? One looks like its been set up without anything to do with him at all which is the one asking for money and the other doesn't appear to have any of his horses on it.

I'd be interested to see what is up for sale but not sure about the benefit of just joining its only for support for supporters.

Yes the horses for rehoming are listed on them

there were some on before and the Michelle from the programme is the admin of group site

There is a feed shop offering their help and extra help if people want to donate £1 they will put it towards feed and wormers...

I was looking at one of these earlier and I'm not putting down any one who is helping or wants to help but it amazes me how many people throw their money at something and don't look into it further, just based on an edited half hour TV programme. I'm sure everyone has good intentions and any money raised probably helps but can you be sure you're not just supporting him to take on 20 more when this lot are rehome, if he has mental health issues and hoarding tendencies it could just be enabling him.

I'm saying this only after a brief glimpse and not seen Michelle's site yet so off to read more thoroughly!

I agree with you, and wouldn't send off money to anyone I didn't know, or feed store without investigation. It was interesting to read the RSPCA's excuses on this site though. Not looked at Michelle's site yet.

Michelle's page has naturally been swamped in the past 24 hours with messages of support from new and old members of the group. You have to tab down quite a way to start to see the ponies that are currently available. :)

The plea for help with feed and wormers has been on her page for weeks so it isn't something that has just materialised because of the programme.

perhaps they could put photos of each of the horses into a specific album marked up for rescue with its information and price... that way people don't have to trawl through everything just to find the horses.

:D:D

Well I was not a fan of Michelle at the start of the programme.... But I am now :D Joined both FB groups and will watch with interest ;)

Oh and for what it's worth I know 2 privately owned horses that haven't had wormer, vet, dentist or back man for 6 years - they need it, but because they 'look ok' (and they do, if a bit skinny), all you can do is look away and grind your teeth and mutter angrily, because sure as hell the RSPCA won't intervene! The RSPCA seem to be centered around the media, politics, and getting money from little old ladys wills - they are a disgrace and cannot be relied upon in day to day cases of neglect and cruelty
