For those that don't go into News that much and haven't seen the video clip of the abuse of Le Samurai by Amy Tryon for which she is facing an FEI hearing on 25th June then it is available from

http://www.bestsharing.com/f/2DmeWo3290232

Have a tissue ready and also listen with the sound on as the commentator goes 'oh god....' twice !!

OMG - That is the first time I've seen that & all I can say is what the F@@k did she think she was doing????

Poor, poor horse - if she doesn't get banned for this then there is something terribly terribly wrong!

[ QUOTE ]
nope - it's not - it's the on screen commentator - there are two - one male, one female - it's not the OP

[/ QUOTE ]

Nope I've listened again. Agreed there are a male and female commenter.

The O god and groaning is from eventerman. If you read his posts in Latest News you will see for yourself.

wait for the FEI ruling on her with interest

if they don't ban her for life or at least 10 years then I think the FEI will lose all credibility with anyone who loves horses.

i can't believe she didn't pull him up when he faltered the first time - he was practically hopping, he may not have been put down if she had. She doesn't deserve to ride beautiful animals like him.

that disgusting i cant believe she carried on,that poor lovely horse, she didnt have his welfare in mind just the prize !!!!
she is no horse lover surely !!!

First time I have seen it & I don't know whether to cry or vomit. I have no sound here so can't hear commentary or crowd. To me she didn't look in a hurry to pull him up even after the poor beast crossed the finish line.

Horrific abuse of an animal that had so much heart as to jump the last fence despite "losing the supporting ligaments" in his leg.

Ban her. For Life.

I havent seen that footage before and I am sickened, surely people competing at such a level will be able to tell when a horse is hopping lame like that! I certainly know when there is the slightest thing wrong with my girl. This woman should be banned for life, I cant believe she still competing. SHAME ON HER!!!

I know if it was me and I "genuinely" couldnt feel that horse was lame as she insists.. Id be questioning my career path..
Id really like to throw something at her..

OMG first time i have seen that! i can't believe that she didn't pull him up! bless him though for jumping the jump that was one honest horse!

She should be absolutely ashamed of herself! he was practically hopping what on earth was she thinking!!!! if she said she couldn't feel he was lame she obviusly doesn't have the ability to look after horses like that! that has shocked me!

when i heard about it i just thought that it was going to be slightly hardly noticeable but god that is awful!

if you listen to the female commenter, she makes the statement when the horse is 3 strides from the fence, "the horse has a funny stride"...

God, I am very much a novice and even I could see that the horse was struggling, she should be thoroughly ashamed of herself at the treatment she gave this poor, honest horse. Shame on her, I hope she isn't sleeping well right now, I hope she is replaying it over and over because I will have that in my head for a long time to come.

If the RSPCA or police don t do her for cruelty then the system is wrong.Quite clearly she would of felt the horse dramatically change I think for the benefit of all horses and some of the riders that use their horses as machines then she should be charged civil and criminal. New laws came in this year in the criminal system and I believe aove reasonable doubt she would of felt something. What a waste of a horse on a woman like that.

I feel really sick having seen that. What an honest and brave horse to jump that fence and try his heart out for her. She really should have the book thrown at her

Thats the first time i have seen it and that horse is very obviously lame, he tried to stop a few times there, she better be banned for life, its disgusting, that poor brave horse...

that b*tch should be banned, how ca she call herself a professional when even an amateur could see the horse was wrong. The horse had obviously broken down so what would jumping the last fence achieved?

jesus that is the first time i have seen it, you learn better standards of horsemanship at pony club!! No way did that horse lock on, it was lame and she was telling it go forward. I cant believe how genuine he was to jump that fence for her

very sad and unecessary loss of a life!

I've seeen it before, when Le Samurai was still alive, and it was horrifying but now I'm in tears and feeling sick.

I cannot believe she didn't realise he was so lame.

i'm glad i can finally join the debate on this. the video was removed pretty quick 1st time it was on and i didn't feel i could comment on the whole thing without 1st seeing it for myself.
it's awful. the poor horse.
frown.gif
u can see the moment he broke down and was very lame after that. i can only nod furiously in agreement with the people's disgust at amy tryon for this. i hope the FEI do something other than brush this under the carpet. she should be made to pay for putting any horse through such an awful and life ending thing.

Shame the horse wasn't a nutter - some horses would not tolerate being spurned on in that state.

One thing I will say (and I'm prepared for a flaming) is that Ty has a habit of tripping like that - if he did it once I'd let him slow down and assess him in a trot and then stop - certainly wouldn't let him carry on.

To keep that horse going is unforgiveable though - surely she must have felt something?

Does anyone know what she's said to the press about it?
