Is there anywhere where I can read this H&H issue online, or if anyone has a copy of it in their house, would they be kind enough to go to the hunting reports, its the report about the Bassett Hound Pack - sorry forgotten the name of the pack, and at the beginning of the article there is a description of the Bassett Hound - its only short and reply to this message, please.
 
You can't say I wasn't warned. The advert that led me to my Bassett hound puppy bore the caveat: "there [sic] stubborn buggers".

Two years on and Wellington and I have come to an understanding. He does come to call, but only after the seventh or eighth time. And he won't get up on the sofa on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
 
I have to say they are lovely hounds. The pack in question is my local pack, and one of the hounds mentioned Fagin (who incidentally won at Peterborough), was puppy walked by my yard owner last winter (he came from a late litter). Absolutely gorgeous hound we all loved him to bits, along with his sister.

Thank you everyone who has replied to this. What Custard Cream quoted was exactly what I was after. How interesting Dreckly that some history can be put to an article. I want a Bassett Hound puppy at some point and was not put off by the article.

I couldnt really steal Derby House's copy from under their nose
