I've been on the hunt for a superstar cob since January and so far only found one horse that fit the bill - who then failed the vet last week :(

I've been looking at H&H, HorseQuest, HorseMart, AdHorse, Horse Gossip, the Pony Club classifieds, HorseDeals and the horse section of my regional paper (Yorkshire Post). I've also put wanted ads on H&H online, HorseQuest, HorseMart, in my regional paper and plan to get them on local show and venue noticeboards as the season kicks off.

Every blacksmith, instructor, vet and horsey person I know is aware of what I'm looking for and I've also tried spreading the word via facebook and twitter.

Am I missing anything out? Any ideas? My search area is confined to the North of England.

Thanks,
Searched-Out of Yorkshire

Wow it sounds like you've covered most places!
A few you didn't mention I think were the Horse Exchange, Equine Adverts, Preloved and Project Horses...also tack shops etc.
Hope you find something soon :)

Not sure what else you can do then. Depends how determined/desperate you are. I mean, you could go to an auction somewhere or travel further afield.

Superstar... Does that mean showing? I would think of contacting show producers to see if they know of something that doesn't quite make the very top grade? Or a good breeder.. Don't know where Janet George is based but a nice smaller pure ID might meet your requirements?

Thanks everyone

Tammytoo - thanks, I saw the cob but he's a bit heavyweight for me and the video didn't impress.

Luci07 - I'm afraid I'm after the best of both worlds, a bombproof hack (with a pony brain and great temprament) - but with good enough manners and movement to show side saddle up to county level. This perfect 15.2ish horse also needs to be at least 7 (i.e. physically mature enough to take a side saddle) but not into its teens. I know its a very tall order!
Good tip about show producers, I do have one major showing yard on the look out for me, but will ask around for other friends-of-friends in the showing world.

What's your exact specifications? How heavy weight are you looking for? I know of a 15.2hh my friend is selling, but, she is exceptionally heavy weight in build!

NVN....They're South/Midlands :(
