I'm in a bit of a weird limbo now, not really knowing where to go! Didn't do a deposit as booking vetting was supposedly enough to show I was serious...Luckily not out of pocket for vetting or transport which I was also tentatively arranging for Monday :(

Really not seen anything else I like enough to part with the cash! Don't want to spend more than 5k but don't mind sparky/sharp/needs backing, etc...all the things that should make quality horses abit cheaper.

Instead I'm just finding mediocre horses (at best!) cost a crazy amount. Have seen horses that are lame up for 5k, horses that have kissing spine up for 10k...World has gone mad.

Prices are crazy, then you find the odd one that is worth the price advertised at! It's just like wading through treacle 😂 😂

I quite like the look of him! Will give them a call later, thank you!!
She has some lovely types - buys and produces connies and has a very good reputation. I’ve looked at a few but just too young for me - I want a bit more ready made. Most sell quickly.

In my experience people who produce and then sell on don't regard themselves as dealers and use P rather than T in the adverts. I guess they are more likely to stand behind what they've produced, but it's a bit offputting when you turn up to try what you thought was a family horse, and find you're dealing with a professional.

Why do people not reply?!
it’s nuts! The people that do this professionally/more than once every 5 years need medals! 🎖
I agree, now l’ve sold one who sadly had become too small for very tall child l’m never selling any ever again, it’s a complete nightmare 😆😬

Might not be a bad thing but wanted to make you aware. If she is not advertising as a dealer I think that makes a difference re returning horse if not as described.. he does look nice though and worth a look

I appreciate people pointing things out! My head is a sea of adverts they’re all merging into one 😂

She is a dealer though I think only buys young to produce - maybe the odd sakes livery. Definitely has a type and they all seem very lovely.

No, but having had a look at their socials they look reputable to me. Aware social media never tells the full truth but I've seen nothing that suggests underlying/hidden pain in any videos and ponies look like they get a mixed education. Also someone I know in the horsey world follows their Facebook and I would trust their judgement.

Appear to sell connies only?

Not many reviews (although all are good) so not much to go off in that department.

There's a few adverts that I've shown my husband, he's gone nuts that people want us to spend 10K on a horse and they've written 3 sentences and posted 1 photo over the stable door! 😂 😂
Tell your husband that 10K is small fry and for an additional 17k you can write write things on this horse! AND it also has amazing xray results! He's even been to a tournament or two. What more do you need?? 🤣🤣https://forums.horseandhound.co.uk/threads/scam-xrays-with-amazing-results-🙄.827364

Fingers crossed. Is it one of those horses you sent me?

It is! The 8yo ISH, looking forward to toning back the tack (all is too big so not doing much!) and lots of flatwork to be done, but i quite like that there is something to work on.
She was fab to jump and gave me some confidence which was nice. She was so quiet to hack and a nice person to be around!

There's a small Melanoma under her tail.

hasn't changed in the last 18months (was in Ireland prior to that so history not known)

What are peoples opinions? 😭😭

I'm tempted to still purchase as she's great in every other aspect with the understanding that she won't be around forever!

That's a bummer. I wouldn't, but I know plenty of people who have greys with small melanomas and they haven't had major problems.
