He was lovely - just the sort I'm after.
But he is slightly cow hocked (think thats the right term - hocks point inwards a little, feet point out) And when he is being worked you can hear some of his feet striking eachother now and then - not sure if he is brushing or overreaching. This seemed to stop after a while.
Also he has an old barbed wire injury just below the level of his hock at the front that doesn't seemt o bother him but is still a little fluidy (apparently it's been there since they got him) Saw a vet report saying this will go down over time and doesn't affect him and would get him vetted to confirm this, but would the insurance exclude this leg?
What would you pay for a 4 yr old ISH who is a little star apart from the slight cow hocks? Are they likely to increase chance of lameness or hock problems in the future? My current horse is also slightly cow hocked, but I never really gave it a second thought.
I really like this horse, but not sure if I should go and see him for a second time or if I should jsut walk away.
