Horse in Derbyshire 'killed by secret feeding'

A horse has been found dead in a Derbyshire field after it was fed by a stranger who thought they were trying to help, police said.

Officers believe the horse was fed dry sugarbeet, taken from a nearby shed and given to the white, Welsh pony, Ebony.

It's one thing giving a horse a carrot or some grass because you don't know about laminitis, but breaking into a shed to get fodder?
