I have just been chatting to a friend.

Don't want to go in to too much detail but a mentally disturbed man has been going in to the field with her horses and has been chasing them, abusing the old girl and just,,,,grrrrrrrrrr!! Anyway,,,that problem is being dealt with.

The problem is the poor old gal who was getting the worst of the "abuse" has gone all withdrawn, doesn't come to her owner anymore, just stands staring. I never thought horses would be effected this badly but it sounds like she needs some kind of support. It is like she seems to know that what happened to her is "Very wrong"!

Has anyone been through or know of anyone who as been through this kind of thing and how was the horse following the incident, were there any treatments that helped?

Any thoughts?

All I can think of is perhaps she is in shock and a homoeopathic remedy may help?

Tis very sad

The old mare must be so withdrawn. It's not acceptable for anyone to do this to horses, but it's been done and you have to move on. You need to help the old mare move on and forget about it. Is she still being ridden?

You have to remember that horses are very good at remembering things and that this will stay with her forever. Helping her move on, and attempting to take her mind off things may be the best way to go about it.

There are many remedies for shock and depression. Maybe try a Bach flower remedy?

Poor thing. I'd recommend Bach stuff. She doesn't of course know what happened to her was wrong, as we would, more that something painful/horrible was done to her by a human, who she has always trusted.
There are some seriuosly sick puppies out there.

Hi
The poor horse. She needs Arnica for shock (and some for her owner) then plenty of tlc. I will look up some more remedies for you. I love homeopathy but lots of people take the p*ss and think im a bit nutty!!

I have just looked some more up and Aconite ans Aresenicum will be good ones to give. try not to handle the remedies too much and try a potency of 200.
Should feel much better with that.

No, not nuts at all, I use Homoeopathic stuff, I am just not sure what remedies would be best to deal with this. If you are knowledgable in this area it would be worth looking in to.

Do you know what I would really like to find? Someone else who has been through this kind of thing. I think if this friend of mine could talk to someone about this it would help her no end.

Rescue Remedy with TLC is a good place to start - then is it Gentian?

Is she definitely undamaged, physically - ie no infection site which is not visible from outside?

Good luck with her and I hope she soon has her faith in humans restored.

I have some idea of it and have used it on mt daughter with asthma, eczema and nasty allergy to horses. sulphur is supposed to be brill for sweetich but people poo poo it.
I would give Arnica 200 every day for a week. That will deal with shock and bruising. Aconite and aresenicum will sort any anxieties she may have which should stop her withdrawing into herself.perhaps give one one day and the other the next for a week. Give your friend 1 arnica too.

Why not contact Margrit Coates, the animal communicator? She really is able to communicate with horses, my physio uses her and she is one of the top physios in the UK, so am certain that Margrit is the real thing not a bullsh**ter.
Just might help the mare to have a little reassurance and chat to a communicator (or whatever it is that they do)

Also reccomend Bachs (there are lots of different ones for different emotions) and Radionics.(black box treatment, also really helps them emotionally)
