I'm wanting to insure Major this week, i've found this website and it seems a good price (20% discount currently).

But are they actually any good? No point insuring him if they won't ever pay out!!!

IIRC I think that they are underwritten by e&l, who don't seem to get very good reviews! I've not experienced them myself but never heard anything good about them!

i am insured with them and found them to be most helpful and paid out a claim on my TB mare direct to the vets within 1 month of all docs being submitted to them.

I would avoid horse-insurance.co.uk unless you are prepared to fight long and hard for what you are owed!

don't. touch and bargepole spring to mind! I have heard some good things about animal friends but mine are 'self insured' so can't personally recommend anyone.

I was with them until they told me I had to cancel a policy and start a new one to change an address!?!? and the new policy was more because i was a 'new' customer

I've insured him with someone else now, thanks for your input. I didn't realise they were E&L we have had problem with them before!
