Anyone used the above insurer?
I'm looking around for quotes for my new horse and it's between KBIS who I've used previously and Horse-Insurance.co.uk, as everywhere else is so expensive!

They are part of e and l who have an awful reputation. That said I'm with them and have had two claims, both of which they paid. One did take a bit of chasing but both me and my vet thought it was a bit of an iffy claim so I was lucky they paid up

I did wonder if they were part of E and L. As Animal Friends are part of them too. I might just stick with KBIS as I know them, although never had to claim. I had a huge claim with NFU a few years back, but they're too expensive to go with now.

Yes I am. They paid a claim out with absolutely no quibbling for me which my vet thought would be difficult due to horse's previous medical history. Covered all his medicines, check ups etc., for full 12 months. No complaints at all. Obviously condition was omitted on renewal but that's no surprise!

Not anymore. They are underwritten by Red Sands now.

I think you get what you pay for, and sometimes if something is really cheap you have to wonder why!
