I've been with Shearwater for ages and they've always been very helpful and fair for any claims, exclusions, etc. Also easy to talk to - no press x for this then press x for that, etc. - you get to speak to a real person as the recent TV advert for a business advertises !!

We've been with SEIB for donkey's years and they are fantastic

Found Julie (HIS) totally invaluable - have used her with 8 different horses now. But she's an agent, so she finds the best deal for you, I could have gone direct to the insuracne companies and probably saved a pound or two.
However she sorts everything out, acts as intermediary, was a moral suport as well when I lost one this year...
Basically I say I need this and that for the other by this time, and a few days later everything arrives in the post with little "X'"s where I need to do something.
She's even arranged "instant cover" to start on a Sunday when I had a horse come rather unexpectedly!

I've recently had a big claim from NFU which they have paid up without question, vets fees and then loss of use. They were also the cheapest quote that I had for my current horse. I'm about to get another, so got quotes from KBIS, shearwater and NFU, and have found that NFU is still the most competitive. New horse is over 5k so they need a 5 stage vetting, which I was going to get anyway.
