horse insurance

am with nfu, have been for 5 years had numerous claims for various horses, large and small, they are no hastle understanding and straightforward. Would recommend them highly!

on a friends recommendation i changed froma company i cant name ( ?&?) to nfu and i havent looked back. not only is Indy insured with them, all my other animals are as well!!!!

ETA - the cost was only £4 a month more than the original company but it covers for a lot more plus it covers me for personal accident for such as a broken leg or something. I pay £30 a month

I tried nfu but they wouldnt allow me to insure my horse unless i took insurance out for buildings, contents,or car

?????Was most put out!!!I went with kbis and they have been great with the payout,no questions asked even with the herbal stuff!!Have been insured with seib in the past and they were fab, only thing that put me off was when i wanted to insure a horse with them 5yrs later, they wanted a 5 stage vetting for a horse that was worth£1800

which i dont feel justifys a 5 stage vetting???(no he is worth more than that now,but because i love im to bits and havnt hammered him i feel that price will get me another youngster)!!!Due to the policy prices you have to be sensible!!

seib - south essex insurance brokers. shearwater insurance - you can get cover for hospitalisation of your horse through them too, not that its something we want to be thinking about!

alot of people on here seem to use nfu but my yard owner advised people on my yard to change from them due to them not paying out anything at all for an operation on a pony on the yard, dont know the circumastances around it so cant comment myself.
