I'm looking for a good company to insure my horse.
Looking at E&L insurance, premiere which works out about 28 a month for everything... Loss of use, vet, 3rd party, etc. Anyone else use this company and do they pay out if I needed to make a claim or are they a pain? (Heard of people not being able to make a claim for loss of use or to cover their vet fees, I don't want this to happen)

I want to find a good company where I pay a fair amount and have total peace of mind!!

I am with SEIB and pay £110 per month for 3 ponies/ horses. I claimed for the first time in Sept and they have paid out over £4000 already for my mare's tendon injury.

Most vets want cash up front if you are insured with E&L...............Barge pole touch don't (rearrange as you see fit).

Pet Plan and SEIB are generally rated.

LOU is difficult to claim unless your horse has a proven track record, many don't feel it is worth bothering with these days as there are so many outs for the insurance company.

I pay 22 a month with petplan for everything except LOU, haven't claimed but they're the one my vet seems to approve of, got a free grooming kit too.

I got given some referral vouchers so you could get the first month free if you like just PM me, I've got loads and think I get an M&S voucher or something :-)

I am with NFU and have to say they have been great paying for WB's lameness treatments and complementary therapies. However, got my renewal yesterday for our three and it has rocketed to £2,000. I have had our Welshie insured for years with no claims and have to say i am still reeling from the increase.
