No they don’t. It usually depends on the price of the horse. My insurance didn’t require a vetting for vets fees for horses less than £6k. For horses that cost between £6k and £9,999 a minimum of a 2 stage vetting was required. For perm loss of use a 5 stage vetting was required no matter the price of the horse. Horses over £10k required additional X-rays. For mortality insurance horses less than £10k didn’t require a vetting.
Each insurance company will have a similar system in place.
