Asking for a friend: My horse has good strong legs however yesterday i let him out to roll and he was fine, had a good long roll and a bronc around. he then rolled again as he normally does however when he got up he was holding his left hind leg up, he then took a few steps and put it down again and then started running about. This happened again today as well. He is keeping all of his weight on it and walking about fine, it just seems to be for a minute or so after rolling,What could this be?

oh gosh hope its nothing serious! saying that i was there when it happened and the second time he rolled he only turned over once and quickly jumped up. Maybe something had bothered him? he had rolled on something and it had hurt his back?

Maybe just twinged something in his back when rolling or bronking, a bit like we do when we stretch or sneeze in a funny position. I'd say not to worry too much but keep an eye out for it

Well weeks later and its now only just sorted! Had sprained and the hind leg muscle and knocked his hip out of place:( been on bute for 2 weeks and box rest! rode for the first time today and thankfully is now sound.
