Small moan i'm afraid, i just cant win with the damn horse at the mo. Last week he came in with a scalped head, small cut on his back leg, scrape down the inside of his front leg with a swollen knee. He gets over that then he attacks himself again. I didnt put them out this morning due to the very strong winds were having so waited until i finished work today to put them out so i could keep an eye on them as D really doesnt like the wind. Anyway an hour later after he's thrown him self around the field i bring them in and wash his legs down and low and behold yet another cut. Its in between his fetlock and hoof at the back (has obviously over reached)and is about 1cm wide and max half cm deep. He doesnt appear to be too sore on it etc but it seems to keep bleeding. Not major, but just wont stop properly. I'm hoping it will stop and start healing over night otherwise i think the vet may have to come out and put a stitch in it. Damn blooming thin skinned loon of a horse....

Awww - the worry they cause 'eh? I'm feeling down today too, my mare crashed through the electric fencing and escaped down to the stables where YO found her - her season is making her a loon, field is a swamp, though she didn't injure herself, like yours.
Hugs
xx

sounds like my old boy!!! we boot him as best he can, but he even injures himself in his stable! Problem is, as he's getting older, he takes longer to heal!!

I think some horses are just more accident pone than other. (Like their riders- as I write this I have my leg up and ice packed having sprained my ankle!!)
