horse just backflipped seems fine but worried and confidence knocked :(

thank you I will certainly go to whatever lengths i can to find these people and stop it happening to someone else. Sully seems pretty comfortable this evening so hopefully all ok,and just an update to all those who so kindly asked after me head pains have gone just stiff and the wrist on the hand i cut is quite swollen so iced and if not gone down will head into the doctors tomorrow.

thank you all so much for your advice hes been checked by the vet and is fine, will have a sports therapy massage on mon or tues and tomorrow will book a saddle check for this week. Will certainly be in touch with various people after ive tracked down the culprits.
 
I'd want to sue for damages, that would wipe the sorry little laughing smiles from their faces. Your very very lucky it wasn't more serious!! Absolute idiots, some people make me so mad :( Glad horsey is okay! xxxx
 
I think I would go to GPs even if feeling better.....just to get the incident and injuries logged. It may aggrevate in the future and this will be part of medical report if you need to claim then. Just to protect your back (so to speak....although not best choice of words). I also echo others thoughts on police/paper and keep the horse out so he doesn't get stiff. How very frightening for you x
 
Amazed and thankful you're both OK. BUT PLEASE KICK UP A FUSS ABOUT THIS! It could have been a kid or a nervous or novice rider with fatal consequences. Write to your local paper - better still, phone them re doing a report on this - write to your parish mag, and definately have a word with the police, the landowner and try to find out if they're with a club; if so, a stiff letter and a meeting with the people who run it would be in order.
I know you'd rather relax and recover, but please, we all have a responsibility to get this type of incident sorted. THEY had a responsibility to use common sense and not to laugh, but to check you were ok, but they were obviously too stupid to care. Show them you're better than the are!
