So pony was lame when went to see her this morning. Swollen off fore cannon bone, and she is not enjoying putting weight on it. is cold hosing + plus bandaging both legs the way to go? Or should I be doing something more high tech..?

Will call vet tomorrow morning if no better.

Apart from the swelling is there any heat , can you find a sore spot ( cut , bite ,sting etc ) ? has pony been in or out since you saw this morning ?
Any heat , can you pin-point a sore bit , any sting/bite/cut ?

a cold pack if there's heat . But if you cannot find anything obvious then its abit of a head scratcher ! And if walking on it hasnt reduced it ... mmm dont know. Have a really close look to see if anything has bitten etc and if poss take a tape measure and measure how swollen it is , take a photo as well . My friends horse , we eventually discovered , had caught his leg in some fencing and his leg had swollen up due to being trapped but there was nothing obvious . Have a look around your field just incase . Cover all possibilities and then if still no improvement call the vet , let him/her know what you've done and checked so they can be thinking before they get to you !
