Anyone help me on what could be the issue her muscles are sore on the right compared to the leftWhat's the question?
She slipped in stable as she rushed in not very fast and fell on to left side and she's lame on her right leg I have buted her but she's just the same but slightly better in walk today no heat no swelling at all and can weight bareTo give advice more information would be needed, what speed of slip, what was she doing, did she go right down, twist, do the splits etc., what leg is she lame on, lame at walk, resting leg, any heat or swelling, have you tried bute?
Although advice is given is it always advised if unsure to get a vet.

Possibly a physio too. Here I go again, sorry folks. Bute is a prescription only drug which you should not have given without being told to by your vet. If you don't stop the bute well before the vet visit, you might be masking symptoms which the vet needs to see.
If you really think she is in pain, and has to have some pain relief and can't ask the vet, then paracetamol is a non prescription drug.
A bunch of total strangers on a forum can't tell a new forum member what is wrong with their horse. You need a vet.

A Physio can't treat lame horses has to seen by a vet first.Possibly a physio too.
Did I say instead of? I was just saying a physio may be required as well, speaking from experience.A Physio can't treat lame horses has to seen by a vet first.
Thats if a vet recommends it normally whatever is wrong needs to be treated then you go down a physio route mainly for rehab reasons.Did I say instead of? I was just saying a physio may be required as well, speaking from experience.
Another thing to consider is the op sounds young so you need to make sure you are giving the right advice.
I've just rested her by box rest and walk in hand and she's slowly getting thereGet the vet but don't be surprised if the advice is to rest her. She is likely to be bruised and bruising takes a while to heal.
That’s really great newsI've just rested her by box rest and walk in hand and she's slowly getting there
That’s really great news
What did your vet think the issue was?
Hi the fields are very wet and muddy they did say I could turn her out but don't want her slipping in fieldR&A of you press the Reply button at the bottom right of the post you are answering it will make it clear whose comments your responding to.
It's great news that your mare is only bruised, but I don't understand box rest for bruising, I'd prefer to have the horse moving if nothing is strained or torn. You should take your vet's advice, though, of course.
