I am looking for a sugar free lick that contains magnesium to help my boy adjust to the spring grass and transition from 100 % Hay to 50% Grass and then 80% grass in summer.
I am finding it quiet a struggle as Sugar seems to be hiding every where.

I have narrowed my search down to 3 -
Rockies Magnacalm lick - I know this has sugar but no idea how much :(

Rockies 5 star - I have search everywhere and I cannot find what it is made from just the benefits of what it has in it

Rockies Laminsheild lick - again lots of benefits but nothing anywhere on what is it :(

Have any of you peeps tried them and what are your thoughts? I am looking for something to stop my boy from eating mud and calm him down a bit as the spring has made him a lot more flighty and spooky.

Thanks!!!!

what would I be able to feed the supplements or balancers with? I am not giving him hard feed only hay and grass. I don't want to introduce any type of feed until winter.

A lick will do just fine, IMO. I have fed a pelleted balancer though in addition in case the grass lacks anything, though now my grass and soil has been analysed, treat the fields instead.
