I've had my horse for 2 years and in that time she has lost a front shoe once and was due to very deep mud and due being shod.
However in the last 6 weeks she has lost 3 back shoes. The left hind first, then when it was put back on she lost the right hind 7 days later then I got a full set done 8 days ago and tonight her left hind is off again.
Can anyone tell me how they can pull hind shoes off and why all of a sudden? Her feet are decent and strong and as I said - doesn't normally pull them off. My farrier is great and the last time she was shod he made sure she was walking straight and shod her well but yet another show!!!' The ground is fine and can't see any fences or anything that she could be catching them on!
I'm more annoyed as I was due to go to a show tomorrow but not now going as don't like to ride with a missing shoe!!!
Any experience of this out there?
TIA
