So a month ago, horse was found in the morning with bandage on the floor and arc equine had completely disappeared! Stable was searched, ledges, straw bed etc! Then it turns up today in stable with no marks, no poo, not smelling of straw/ wee etc! It’s a total mystery! Anyone ever lost one before?

Years ago I lost an IPod in my horse's stable, it was bright pink too! I searched that stable high and low, including the banks, but obviously not that well because a few months later I emptied the whole stable to scrub it after winter and there it was, still working and with only one small dent. Most recently I have lost a set of EquiStreamz bands, no hope of seeing them, and I have emptied the stable right out too! Glad it turned up though, they are expensive!

I lost a pair of bright orange scissors with a bright yellow tennis balls attached to it by a string. One minute I was trimming a mane, the next is was gone ... We emptied the stable of course, and then didn't use it for ages because I imagine a horse would find the scissors with their tendon sheath ... that was 10 months ago and I never saw it again. I imagine the fox probably draggged them away with the ball at some point, but in that moment where the heck did it go?

Anyway, I am very glad you got your arc equine back intact!!

I used to use gas lanterns in my stables. Forgot to take one down one night and it disappeared. I had two youngsters at the time who used to pass things between them and play with whatever they could get their teeth into. We never found the remains of that. My stables were tucked away in the bottom fields of the farm with no access to anyone else so it definitely didn't get nicked. Total mystery.

someone was “looking with their eyes shut” as my mum says?
Both of us searched! Horse has been in stable every night since and bed has been replaced several times! Just doesn’t make sense, turning up a month later with not a mark on and not stinking of straw!

I once lost a ring at the yard. I had no idea where as I just looked at my hand when I got home and it wasn't there. It wasn't expensive so while I was annoyed, I wrote it off. Two years later, I was getting hay for the horses and something shiny on the floor of the haylage store caught my eye. It was my ring. The haylage store only ever has one round bale in at a time and had been cleaned out many many times in between. I wonder if it ended up in the hay field somehow (maybe a magpie?) and then in the bale rather than being in the hay store all along.

Lost the arc in the field twice  once when she was meant to be out on her own for an hour (generally can be trusted not to do anything stupid) and another horse was turned out with her  and another time when my dad chucked her out and didn't notice it was bandaged on a back leg!
Luckily found it within 20 mins both times and still in working order ;)
