Horse lost on firing range

I read in H&H from 9th Sept that one of the top 5 topics on the forum this week were 'Horse lost on firing range found'. Does anyone know whether this is true? I followed the story on the forum at the time and have thought a lot about that horse. I would love to know that he has been found.

From what I remember reading the horse was found but sadly not alive.

yes,very sadly this horse was found several months (i think) later dead.
such a shame. if i remember correctly he died of exposure and they could find him as i think he was in a difficult place to see him.
very sad for all involved.
r.i.p little horsey you are running free with the wind and the sun will always be upon your back.
