It's not really a thing unfortunately, though you could try approaching companies/ photographers- they usually know plenty of people willing to offer up models already!
A photographer friend used my horse to model a new collection for a company she photographs for because he fit the brief of what they needed (normally standard sizes and type, eg 6’3 cob size, warmblood horse in bay/black/chestnut)

My friends old TB did a bit. He'd come out of racing at 11 so seen and done it all and nothing bothered him - which is more important than looks when you're surrounded by non horsey people.

She got asked by a lady who was developing marketing material for a country life type company and knew her. After that it was word of mouth but usually the big campaigns use the professionals - those horses that are used for TV work can turn their hoof just as well to photographs. My friend was usually doing the much cheaper work.

Even for the horse wear catalogues it takes a certain personality. Get any of mine to pose in 6 different rugs or gallop prettily around the field and you're asking for trouble ?

I don't think that it is something that makes any money. There is one company here, owned by a friend of a fellow livery, which every year shoots the catalogue in our stable. They asked if I wanted mine to be in it but I could not be bothered to polish them to perfection for something that had no real benefit to either horse or owner. There were however plenty of others willing to do it for free, so I am not sure that it would really work out.

It depends on why you are interested in this. If it is to make money I think it is a non-starter. If it is to get professional photos of your horse at low/no cost maybe there is another way, such as asking a photography student if they would like to take some for a small fee.

My horse was recently a model for a new photographer starting out!
It wasn’t a paid shoot but we got to keep the photos ?

I have often had my horses and liveries used for photo shoots, but this is mostly because they want to use my yard rather than the horses themselves.

When i lived and worked in London for photographers as a stylist i was asked to find a palomino pony for a particular shot. I went to the local riding school near Hyde Park, (Mrs Blooms may be?) they had one there. I got to be the rider too which was quite amusing, the only time I have ridden in Rotten Row. So it is not just looks but having to be the right colour as well!
