Horse name fun

we have a pony at our yard who is called Snowbury but his show name is Foxies Hot Pocket Rocket

boy does he fly round XC courses

one of my loan horses is called rodney but his show name is Peckham Prince, when they were deciding though the first name on the list was Rodney Trotter

i wish he had been called that! "and next in the ring is [riders name] riding Rodney Trotter!!!!!"

my friend at a different yard has a horse called hope who's show name is No Hope, because she didnt used to like jumping much and was a rescue who was so skinny but has come a long way (now theres no stopping her over jumps lol)

My gelding is called Minstrel, Minnie for short. We had a mare on loan called Desmond (long story as to how that came about)- people were always surprised when we pointed out that Minnie was the boy and Des the girl!

i used to ride a horse called ben, then i used to call him benjamin, then benjammin, then i called him bob marley.

When we bought a mare who turned out to be in foal, when we were assured she wasn't, we called the little lad she had Tobias Hobson, as in Hobsons choice, 'cos he was!
