Thinking of re fencing some of our land with horse netting.
However we have a foal due in afew months, so i was wondering if anyone with youngster uses it, and how they have found it?

Has anyone got any experiences with the product, also pros/ cons etc?

Thank you!

We have all our mare/foal paddocks fenced with the tornado horse netting and have found it very good. Foals cant climb through it and I dont have to worry about rails breaking! We run a single strand of electric fencing over the top. Hope that helps.

Oh thats good to hear! Yes i was thinking of running a strand of the thick elec tape on top. I know this might seem daft, but can they see the fence ok?- does it not blend into background with it being netting?
Also another questions, do have the elec tape live?- eg connected to enigizer, or is it not needed once they respect it.

Thanks

I have it nearly every where, brilliant stuff! I run an offset electric high tensile above it that is electrified. I also weave the thick white elec tape through the top square, so can see it, but not electrified.

Am interested in this, but not convinced that a small foal couldn't get its foot caught; I have seen a nasty cut across the bulb of the hoof from an adult putting its foot through sheep netting- obviously much bigger holes; but here the holes seem to be about 3" sq.- 800mm / 750mm; do you think this is small enough?

you can get smaller holed stuff, the super version. we have this with a Haflinger and and IDxTB, no danger of hooves in holes, its about 2"square, we have electric line at the top but have never used it as fence is 4 foot 6 high and was more to keep the dog in than the horses!

its excellent stuff and has been great for my sheep and lambies when they are rotation grazing after the horses too.
