My hubby was coming home from work tonight and rang to say he was delayed due to traffic jam on A19 near the Stainsby Grange farm.

When he got home he said there had been a horse on the road and he thought it had been killed

Has anyone heard anything about it?

I passed there at 4pm ish.

Stainsby Grange is right on the A19. It's scary how close the road runs to some of the buildings.

no, seriously, I just wouldn't want to be be keeping a horse that close to such a big road.

Not necessarily - Stainsby Grange is right next to the road so she could have been in the school or riding through the yard.

So sad, the worst thing for anyone.

Absolutely tragic!

At least no one was hurt and the horse sounds like it died pretty quickly

Heartbreaking though.

THere are a couple of places around that area that have horses I think so may not even have been from Stainsby.

I hope everyone involved soon feels better. Hugs to the owner.

Oh no that is horrible, brings back bad memories of when my poor girl was hit by a van and killed in september, poor owner/rider i really feel for them, i know what they are going thorugh
