Does anyone have any pictures of a horse walking on its hocks, how do you tell? Is it something that is really obvious? Would you need any special shoes and does it reflect on the price?

Just need some information as someone said my mare walks on her hocks. Thank you

It is impossible for a horse to walk on its hocks! That would be like you walking on your elbows.
If your horse is off its forehand (a good thing) its walk will be powered from behind, rather than it dragging itself along with the weight on the front end. watch dressage horses or the Spanish Riding School to see horses which are not on the forehand.

Someone come to look at my mare today and said she is walking on her hocks. Now I think she just has low set hocks but I've never been a confirmation expert haha

I'm not sure I can picture a horse walking on it's hocks, nor 'low set' hocks tbh, neither are terms I have ever heard before! If this is someone who has been to look at your horse with a view to buy then I wouldn't worry about it, if you had a few people say the same then perhaps look into it.

I've heard of low set hocks, I don't know! Haha I've offered them a vetting etc! Whatever they want, maybe it will all work out in the end. If not, they aren't the home for her!
