Horse on LVTB query

My horse is on a 6 month loan with a view to buy. The price has been agreed before hand and a contract drawn up.

My question is the contract is due up in 4 wks should I ask her now if she wants to go ahead with the purchase or should I leave it till nearer the time or when the contract is up. I am happy with this person buying my horse, he has been looked after well and they get on great but if I have to make arrangements to bring him home I would prefer to know in advance, or am I wrong.

I would ask them now just so incase you need to make arrangements to bring your horse home you can in advance.

I would ask them and explain why you need to know a bit in advance. I'm sure they will understand!

Perfectly reasonable to enquire now as you may need to make arrangements to have your horse back. It might be prudent to check if she wants a vetting doing because as the horse is with her, it could be that at the 11th hour the buyer might try to re negotiate the price to your disadvantage, partcularly if you haven't made arrangements for alternative livery.
